In the 22nd minute, You Yuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Independente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gianpaolo Lovera came free, but Marcelo Gröhe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukáš Modrić in the 37th minute of play forced Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s goalkeeper Washington Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Washington Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Souto in the 39th minute of play. Washington Albuquerque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanderson Souto in the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gianpaolo Lovera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Tarrasque Voador F.C. getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Gianpaolo Lovera hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Independente FC's Luizinho Quadros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Washington Albuquerque. That made the score 0-1 after 54 minutes of play. When Jon Stark came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Tarrasque Voador F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jon Stark couldn't finish the play. The Independente FC fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Independente FC's Wanderson Souto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s zone, Rubinho Severo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Washington Albuquerque came out of the goal and Rubinho Severo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luizinho Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Washington Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The throw-in from Jean do Nascimento in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s Vito Bertassi. Jon Stark blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelo Gröhe having to make a save. In the 87th minute Wanderson Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gianpaolo Lovera hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After having played for 89 minutes, Rubinho Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independente FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubinho Severo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Independente FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
