After taking down the ball on Marquês de Herval's corner Betão dos Santos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Orlando Nogueira quite easily take care of the ball. Carlos Fernando Fantini struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Orlando Nogueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marquês de Herval. 42 minutes into the game, Vânderson Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bruno Renan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albino Ibar, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Albino Ibar sped through Marquês de Herval's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bruno Renan. Bruno Renan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Albino Ibar made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Alfredo Martins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Orlando Nogueira was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Marquês de Herval played a much better game than AKI CORINTHIANS and deserved their victory. The AKI CORINTHIANS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
