Mugurel Inculeț struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Jalmari Mikkonen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente. Silvian Anghel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Nurettin in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Valer Penescu hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ali Nurettin in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvian Anghel saved Independiente from getting behind. 17 minutes into the match, Ali Nurettin notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Independiente's Silvian Anghel. Silvian Anghel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 19 minutes into the match, Pinner Cluj-Napoca's Ali Nurettin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvian Anghel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Independiente's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cristian Gallo was slow to take the kick. During this time Pinner Cluj-Napoca's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Aparício Gaspar heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 23 minutes into the match, Pinner Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Petru Crăciunaș came free, but Jalmari Mikkonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Independiente's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marin Romoşan in the 24th minute. Independiente's Marin Romoşan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jalmari Mikkonen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jalmari Mikkonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ion Oprișan in the 26th minute of play. Silvian Anghel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petruț Mircescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvian Anghel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Nurettin in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Delmiro Cordearo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jalmari Mikkonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Nurettin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvian Anghel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Petruț Mircescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petru Crăciunaș hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Delmiro Cordearo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Petruț Mircescu put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Silvian Anghel. 62 minutes into the match, Pinner Cluj-Napoca's Ali Nurettin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvian Anghel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 63rd minute Pinner Cluj-Napoca were awarded a corner. Cristian Gallo went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience was convinced that Ali Nurettin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvian Anghel was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Ali Nurettin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pinner Cluj-Napoca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 73 minutes into the game, Ali Nurettin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Silvian Anghel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The attack was good, but when Ali Nurettin in the 76th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Petru Crăciunaș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pinner Cluj-Napoca's Traian Cigu was substituted for Aparício Gaspar. After having played for 85 minutes, Ali Nurettin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pinner Cluj-Napoca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Nurettin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Nurettin in the 87th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Silvian Anghel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Ali Nurettin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pinner Cluj-Napoca's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Nurettin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvian Anghel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute, Ali Nurettin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvian Anghel was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Pinner Cluj-Napoca walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
