An unexpectedly hard shot by Arí Paiva in the 17th minute of play forced Pura Arte F.C's goalkeeper Juarês Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pura Arte F.C were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vladimir Fonseca took the corner. Pura Arte F.C's Vladimir Fonseca was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cléber Souza in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
