Sven Jansson made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Froilan Reyes sent off a good shot on target. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Beticostrogodo's goalkeeper Sven Jansson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Beticostrogodo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Froilan Reyes was slow to take the kick. During this time Spain's players had a chance to rest. 19 minutes into the game, Froilan Reyes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sven Jansson. Froilan Reyes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 21st minute, Giraldo Martinez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Froilan Reyes took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Sven Jansson to make any attempt to save it. 26 minutes into the game, Froilan Reyes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sven Jansson. Froilan Reyes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Froilan Reyes got free with Sven Jansson in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jim Morrison during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Froilan Reyes in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven Jansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zoilo Amer was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Froilan Reyes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spain fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. 61 minutes into the match, Froilan Reyes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sven Jansson. Froilan Reyes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Reyes in the 88th minute of play forced Beticostrogodo's goalkeeper Sven Jansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Beticostrogodo's goal looked a bit too open when Froilan Reyes came free, but Sven Jansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven Jansson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Froilan Reyes went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. Sven Jansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Froilan Reyes, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When the referee ended the match the Spain players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
