With a little luck, Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse got control of the ball when Rafael Jauregui tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 9th match minute, Despidida AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavino Hodei to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, MILLONARIOS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ancho Branca came free, but Angelo Prior reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kepa Barajo came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the MILLONARIOS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kepa Barajo couldn't finish the play. Christoffer Blomqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Goitia came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Despidida AFC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Gavino Hodei hit a great ball. Fernando Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christoffer Blomqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Toro Martínez sped through MILLONARIOS FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Angelo Prior. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toro Martínez to make the kick off. Angelo Prior took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toro Martínez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toro Martínez scored 0-2 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelo Prior, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Amador Joanes replaced Toro Martínez. Angelo Prior showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Czeslaw Kopacz in the 65th minute of the match. With a little luck, MILLONARIOS FC's Angelo Prior got control of the ball when Dominik Fink tried to sneak it across the goal line. Angelo Prior took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Joanes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Amador Joanes notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of MILLONARIOS FC's Angelo Prior. Angelo Prior was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. MILLONARIOS FC's Juan Corredor was substituted for Rafael Jauregui. Fernando Selatse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Goitia, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Corredor in the 86th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, MILLONARIOS FC's goalkeeper Angelo Prior had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amador Joanes. 91 minutes into the match, MILLONARIOS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Czeslaw Kopacz came free, but Angelo Prior reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amador Joanes got free with Angelo Prior in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Errazquin in the 94th minute of play forced Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Despidida AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Despidida AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
