Braga Junior FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Còrdoba FC the free kick. The supporters of Real Còrdoba FC booed when Braga Junior FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Berart didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaizka Mendieta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Léo Messis in the 37th minute of play. Braga Junior FC's Gaizka Mendieta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Cordeiro in the 45th minute of play. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Real Còrdoba FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
