PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Apolo Herensuge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazim Maalem in the 8th minute of play. In the 8th minute Nazim Maalem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Herensuge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ture Rosendahl struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Patrik Sikström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ. In the 16th minute Enéas de Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Herensuge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Caio Silveira managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Chollatit Reungaksorn hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Patrik Sikström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ture Rosendahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dorian Cardoso hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Caio Silveira made the kick off in the second half. Patrik Sikström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Arruda in the 50th minute of play. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Seterma Tractors's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Erling Mattsson was slow to take the kick. During this time PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's corner Erling Mattsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Patrik Sikström quite easily take care of the ball. Patrik Sikström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clarence Seedorf, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 87th match minute, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naldo Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Enéas de Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Apolo Herensuge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Matías Azevedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Patrik Sikström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ had played much better football throughout.
