The audience thought a goal was coming when Matti Erkiner got free with Erk Noffke in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erk Noffke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matti Erkiner in the 6th minute. In the 11thth minute of the game Carl Tempel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Heinz-Gerd Bonin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matti Erkiner in the 19th minute of play forced SV PM Cottbus's goalkeeper Erk Noffke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erk Noffke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matti Erkiner in the 26th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, SV PM Cottbus's goal looked a bit too open when Wieslaw Bykowski came free, but Erk Noffke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, SV PM Cottbus's Erk Noffke got control of the ball when Matti Erkiner tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Matti Erkiner came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matti Erkiner couldn't finish the play. Matti Erkiner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Erk Noffke made a huge save. 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Matti Erkiner got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Erk Noffke managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Matti Erkiner fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Heinz-Gerd Bonin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Niva in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz booed when SV PM Cottbus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Immanuel Dippel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Wieslaw Bykowski fired a really elegant long shot, but Erk Noffke threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matti Erkiner stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kert Kuningas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erk Noffke having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in SV PM Cottbus fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! Erk Noffke had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Wieslaw Bykowski's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 54 minutes of play, 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Wieslaw Bykowski made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erk Noffke was left in no man's land by his defense there! Erk Noffke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matti Erkiner, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Matti Erkiner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Erk Noffke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matti Erkiner in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erk Noffke saved SV PM Cottbus from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in SV PM Cottbus's zone, Matti Erkiner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erk Noffke came out of the goal and Matti Erkiner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SV PM Cottbus's Erk Noffke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matti Erkiner in the 70th minute of play. When 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Matti Erkiner, in the 72nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz. 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Alfons Tilmann was substituted for Matti Erkiner. Erk Noffke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfons Tilmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. When 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Alfons Tilmann in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Alfons Tilmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erk Noffke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfons Tilmann ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfons Tilmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Erk Noffke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
