After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Mastur Bates managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zuera Never End MZC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mastur Bates was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abelardo Maranhense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute Mastur Bates shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Monteiro took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abelardo Maranhense. Abelardo Maranhense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 26th minute Valdo Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Weidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murillo Mattos in the 29th minute of play. Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Olivedos from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Olivedos getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Rubinho Chaves hit a great ball. If João Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42ndth minute of the game Mastur Bates who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Mastur Bates put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Abelardo Maranhense. Murillo Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Maranhense having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Mastur Bates made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match Olivedos got a corner. Zuera Never End MZC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luisinho Ceresso ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Olivedos booed when Zuera Never End MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Agurto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dida Weidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Oliveira in the 58th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Donato Oliveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dida Weidt. Zuera Never End MZC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donato Oliveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 67 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goal looked a bit too open when João Monteiro came free, but Abelardo Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abelardo Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murillo Mattos in the 73rd minute of play. A hard shot 76 in the game by Valdo Dantas from a close distance when the talented Dida Weidt managed to make a qualified save. Zuera Never End MZC's players were relieved. In the 87th minute, Donato Oliveira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dida Weidt. The goal made the score 3-2. Abelardo Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the match, Zuera Never End MZC's Nelson de Salles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abelardo Maranhense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zuera Never End MZC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
