The supporters of Mestre GG booed when Montesclarense E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliézer Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mestre GG's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benjamim Medeiros in the 13th minute. Mestre GG's Gilson Matorin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luiz Eger in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Luiz Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamim Medeiros in the 16th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Hernani Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Mestre GG's Tiago Matorin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Eger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benjamim Medeiros might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Eger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamim Medeiros ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Paraense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Mestre GG booed when Montesclarense E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernani Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilson Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Eger having to interfere. After 37 minutes of play, Mestre GG's Benjamim Medeiros made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Eger was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 39 minutes, Jorge Paraense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mestre GG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Paraense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd match minute, Montesclarense E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. Benjamim Medeiros succeeded in the game's 44th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamim Medeiros in the 47th minute of play forced Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Luiz Eger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Oswaldo Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 55 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Mestre GG's Benjamim Medeiros fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 57th minute Benjamim Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Paraense in the 58th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Ricardo Lucas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montesclarense E.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mestre GG the free kick. In the 65th minute, one of Montesclarense E.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Montesclarense E.C.. Montesclarense E.C.'s Luiz Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Paraense in the 69th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jorge Paraense kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luiz Eger. That made the score 0-4 in the 73 minute of play. In the 77th minute, Montesclarense E.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tiago Matorin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Montesclarense E.C.'s Luiz Eger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Montesclarense E.C. from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Montesclarense E.C.'s Luiz Eger got control of the ball when Jorge Paraense tried to sneak it across the goal line.
