The supporters of Rákóczifalva SE booed when FC Lugano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Ray Büeler lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Ottó Márton. In the 23rd minute, FC Lugano's Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ottó Márton. Ottó Márton yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoons short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Ottó Márton to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ottó Márton could save by the left post. Godo Gøl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from László Pénzes in the 31st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Lugano's Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ottó Márton. That made the score 6-0 after 32 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márió Pálffy in the 36th minute of play forced FC Lugano's goalkeeper Godo Gøl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Jirko Bur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Lugano's Ray Büeler got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ottó Márton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ottó Márton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elroy Zufferey's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. The corner led FC Lugano's Jirko Bur to fire away a dangerous shot which Ottó Márton despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ottó Márton came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Lugano's Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon. But to his dismay, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. FC Lugano's Favian Muff was substituted for Adriano Rossignol. Rákóczifalva SE's Ottó Márton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jirko Bur in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Ádám Domonkos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute of the match Gregor Wirth sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ottó Márton skillfully saved the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ottó Márton. Rákóczifalva SE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Teddy Racine's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ottó Márton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. A collision led to FC Lugano getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jirko Bur hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Ray Büeler notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Rákóczifalva SE's Ottó Márton. Ottó Márton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 85th minute, Márió Pálffy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rákóczifalva SE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-1. In the 88th match minute, FC Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Favian Muff to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute Elroy Zufferey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ottó Márton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ottó Márton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ray Büeler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
