The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anfilogino Pantani kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Twierdza Wroclaw's Tony Kroneder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Twierdza Wroclaw from getting a goal against them. Wiktor Bejrut could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Tony Kroneder made a huge save. Randolph Eubanks could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Tony Kroneder made a huge save. Randolph Eubanks took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tony Kroneder. Tony Kroneder dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Slavyan Gusev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Zachemski in the 14th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Randolph Eubanks got free with Tony Kroneder in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Slavyan Gusev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Lesiecki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tony Kroneder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Randolph Eubanks in the 25th minute of play. Tony Kroneder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugeniusz Cwojdak in the 29th minute of play. FC Rogers Sosnowiec's Teofil Jakubiak got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eugeniusz Cwojdak to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, FC Rogers Sosnowiec's Slavyan Gusev got control of the ball when Stefan Lesiecki tried to sneak it across the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Twierdza Wroclaw's Emil Zachemski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Slavyan Gusev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emil Zachemski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Slavyan Gusev made a huge save. In the 67th minute, Bartlomiej Arendarski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Rogers Sosnowiec's Hugon Lemiesz was substituted for Roberto Carlos. Twierdza Wroclaw's Tony Kroneder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugeniusz Cwojdak in the 74th minute of play. Stefan Lesiecki who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Slavyan Gusev when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stefan Lesiecki got free with Slavyan Gusev in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Rogers Sosnowiec's Slavyan Gusev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugeniusz Werra in the 83rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Teofil Jakubiak managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Rogers Sosnowiec's supporters rose to their feet, but Teofil Jakubiak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tony Kroneder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eugeniusz Werra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Slavyan Gusev made a huge save. In the 93rd minute, Eugeniusz Cwojdak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Kroneder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugeniusz Cwojdak, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Twierdza Wroclaw had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
