Academia Rio's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nae Bărboianu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Viola Invest's Nae Bărboianu to fire away a dangerous shot which Basarab Cubleșan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience cheered when Nae Bărboianu's long shot passed Basarab Cubleșan's right side. It was 0-1, 13 minutes into the match. Tiberiu Nedelcea took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basarab Cubleșan. Basarab Cubleșan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 20 minutes into the game, Viola Invest's Tiberiu Nedelcea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basarab Cubleșan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorel Vulpe got free with Flavius Izbașa in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Viola Invest's Flavius Izbașa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorel Vulpe in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match Academia Rio got a corner. Viola Invest's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. János Oltean ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Academia Rio's Dorel Vulpe to fire away a dangerous shot which Flavius Izbașa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marcu Vlas struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Basarab Cubleșan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viola Invest. Gabriel Oncescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Basarab Cubleșan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Viola Invest's goal looked a bit too open when Iustinian Tănăsescu came free, but Flavius Izbașa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basarab Cubleșan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Oncescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

53 minutes into the match, Viola Invest's goal looked a bit too open when Iustinian Tănăsescu came free, but Flavius Izbașa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Viola Invest defense, Iustinian Tănăsescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flavius Izbașa. The Viola Invest fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flavius Izbașa should have stopped the shot. Mugur Nichita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavius Izbașa having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Iustinian Tănăsescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavius Izbașa was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. After 64 minutes, Iustinian Tănăsescu made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Viola Invest's Flavius Izbașa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 67 minutes into the game, George Teodoreanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Viola Invest's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Academia Rio the free kick. George Teodoreanu hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. János Oltean took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Flavius Izbașa. Viola Invest's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The attack was good, but when Tiberiu Nedelcea in the 73rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Flavius Izbașa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustinian Tănăsescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th match minute, Viola Invest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Oncescu to maneuver through the defense. When Gabriel Oncescu fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Viola Invest's protests and gave Gabriel Oncescu a yellow card for diving instead. Basarab Cubleșan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tiberiu Nedelcea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 81 minute of play. János Oltean kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Vasile Soare hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Flavius Izbașa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustinian Tănăsescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Although Academia Rio had been in control for most of the match, Viola Invest still came away with the win.
