In the 12th minute Benoit Van Bettenrode shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvin van der Saar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, FA Sandtown's Sebastian Larsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edvin van der Saar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Benoit Van Bettenrode scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edvin van der Saar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edvin van der Saar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludomir Tarka, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Edvin van der Saar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benoit Van Bettenrode went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias Jonasson in the 27th minute of play forced GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's goalkeeper Edvin van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edvin van der Saar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benoit Van Bettenrode went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After 38 minutes, Ryszard Borucki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GIOVANNI DZIADZIA and the FA Sandtown players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's Ryszard Borucki got a free kick in the 38th minute. When Kajetan Pusiak came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the FA Sandtown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kajetan Pusiak couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Iker Boruc made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Mathias Jonasson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edvin van der Saar. That made the score 0-6 in the 51 minute of play. Borys Golembiewski charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Borys Golembiewski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to GIOVANNI DZIADZIA getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Borys Golembiewski hit a great ball. With a little luck, GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's Edvin van der Saar got control of the ball when Benoit Van Bettenrode tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benoit Van Bettenrode who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Edvin van der Saar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edvin van der Saar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksander Kissel in the 79th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the game, Aleksander Kissel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edvin van der Saar. Aleksander Kissel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-8. With a little luck, GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's Edvin van der Saar got control of the ball when Benoit Van Bettenrode tried to sneak it across the goal line. GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's Edvin van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Larsson in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute of the match, Aleksander Kissel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edvin van der Saar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience was convinced that Aleksander Kissel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edvin van der Saar was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benoit Van Bettenrode got free with Edvin van der Saar in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
