An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattijs Berghmans in the 3rd minute of play forced Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's goalkeeper Marian Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Federico Kalinowski made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Edgar Scislowicz sent off a good shot on target. Valhalla Time's Mattijs Berghmans managed to work through Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Mattijs Berghmans dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 18th minute of the game Aleksander Konieczny made a throw-in which Edgar Scislowicz played forward. Valhalla Time's Mattijs Berghmans got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mattijs Berghmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marian Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattijs Berghmans in the 28th minute of the match. Mattijs Berghmans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marian Chilavert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of Zagłębie Dąbrowskie booed when Valhalla Time was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Maraman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute of the match, Grzegorz Jankowski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Federico Kalinowski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Grzegorz Jankowski in the 34th minute. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Grzegorz Jankowski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Federico Kalinowski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Marian Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattijs Berghmans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gökçek Kolçak to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Mattijs Berghmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Marian Chilavert managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Valhalla Time's Enzo Francescoli fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Rickard Soned came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Valhalla Time fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rickard Soned couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute, Valhalla Time's Enzo Francescoli ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marian Chilavert. Marian Chilavert yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Karol Biskupiak got a free kick in the 91st minute. Marian Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernabe Odon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the match, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's goalkeeper Marian Chilavert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernabe Odon. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Marian Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Soned in the 94th minute of play. Valhalla Time played a much better game than Zagłębie Dąbrowskie and deserved their victory. The Zagłębie Dąbrowskie players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
