It was Tomislav Mikalauskas who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of GuateFortín booed when FC Draconia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kostas Skilopnichtis didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Draconia's Jerome Ngake played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 9th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Draconia defense, Sven-Edvin Jansson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jerome Ngake. The FC Draconia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jerome Ngake should have stopped the shot. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save GuateFortín from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomislav Mikalauskas in the 16th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, FC Draconia's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Edvin Jansson came free, but Jerome Ngake reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute of the match, Kostas Skilopnichtis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nery Pumpido saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nery Pumpido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquin Lekubegi in the 23rd minute. With a little luck, GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido got control of the ball when Tomislav Mikalauskas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Angel Alvarenga got a free kick in the 27th minute. Jerome Ngake took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomislav Mikalauskas got free with Nery Pumpido in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido got control of the ball when Joaquin Lekubegi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nery Pumpido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harald Sulems in the 36th minute. Benny Van der Poorten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Roberto Trotta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 42 minutes, Zico Zellier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GuateFortín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zico Zellier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 43 played minutes FC Draconia got a freekick which was hit by Tristan Adams. Zico Zellier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to FC Draconia getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Harald Sulems hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sven-Edvin Jansson to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Rudy Sigaran got a free kick in the 50th minute. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kostas Skilopnichtis in the 55th minute of the match. Jerome Ngake made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute of the match GuateFortín got a corner. FC Draconia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sven-Edvin Jansson ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on GuateFortín's corner Sven-Edvin Jansson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jerome Ngake quite easily take care of the ball. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomislav Mikalauskas in the 60th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, FC Draconia's goalkeeper Jerome Ngake had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Edvin Jansson. Zico Zellier might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jerome Ngake. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zico Zellier ran back to his position shaking his head. Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benny Van der Poorten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomislav Mikalauskas in the 78th minute of play. Joaquin Lekubegi took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nery Pumpido. Nery Pumpido dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. GuateFortín's Heriberto Correa was substituted for Danilo Ocampo. FC Draconia's Paco Fernandez-Solino was substituted for Tomislav Mikalauskas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Gomez in the 87th minute of play forced FC Draconia's goalkeeper Jerome Ngake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel Mesías in the 90th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerome Ngake showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Gomez, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
