Walther Jano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serafino Urbez in the 35th minute. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Carlos Caton took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Walther Jano to make any attempt to save it. EL RUSSO FC's Generoso Sugar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Seinstra in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by EL RUSSO FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The Maquis's Carel Huiting was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Generoso Sugar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Serafino Urbez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Walther Jano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, EL RUSSO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Seinstra came free, but Generoso Sugar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ruben Seinstra to strike the kick off in the second half. Walther Jano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaztea Valensuela went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. 59 minutes into the game, The Maquis's Ruben Seinstra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Generoso Sugar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. In the 64th minute, Ruben Seinstra made a precise shot to the right of Generoso Sugar. EL RUSSO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. In the 68th minute, Carsten Bont hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. EL RUSSO FC made a substitution. Filomeno Cordarrell replaced Carlos Caton. Carsten Bont hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Boruc Jaraczeski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute Ruben Seinstra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Sugar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Maquis were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after EL RUSSO FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carel Huiting took the corner. Frits Melker hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquilino Maties in the 81st minute of play forced The Maquis's goalkeeper Walther Jano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Ruben Seinstra managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Maquis's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruben Seinstra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Generoso Sugar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emilio Celino made in the 85th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by The Maquis's Frits Melker. Melquiades Garaona took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walther Jano. Walther Jano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. A sloppy throw-in by Igor Polyakov in the 89th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by The Maquis's Frits Melker.
