In the 10th minute, Facopo FBPA's Pedro Requena seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pedro Requena the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Facopo FBPA protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pedro Requena had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Pedro Requena hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Samuel Bastos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Facopo FBPA getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Cristóvão Mattos hit a great ball. Abi Schrape could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Osvaldinho Moreno made a huge save. Konurbano Atletico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fernan Machado in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Samuel Bastos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colin Kelleher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colin Kelleher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Bastos, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Samuel Bastos came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Facopo FBPA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Bastos couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The referee showed Raimundo Estavan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Facopo FBPA booed when Konurbano Atletico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Estavan didn't get a good kick on the ball.
