In the 2nd match minute, Atlético San Alejandro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Froila Abel to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Sportivo Chupeño's goal looked a bit too open when George Abechuco came free, but Chinto Espinoza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute of the match, George Abechuco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Chinto Espinoza saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 19 minutes, Luken Abad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético San Alejandro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luken Abad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chan Abel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francis Stuart, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. George Abechuco took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chinto Espinoza. Chinto Espinoza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Atlético San Alejandro's Chan Abel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tino Abeijon in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético San Alejandro's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gonzo Abastas was slow to take the kick. During this time Sportivo Chupeño's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Sportivo Chupeño's Gonzo Abastas to fire away a dangerous shot which Chan Abel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Antonio Pizzi in the 32nd minute of play forced Atlético San Alejandro's goalkeeper Chan Abel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Francis Stuart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chan Abel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Sportivo Chupeño's Juan Antonio Pizzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chan Abel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
