Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Baron Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benny Niva in the 40th minute of play. A throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game was made by Jayden Beaverley with Ruben Gomez as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Benny Niva received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Baron Buffon came out and tried to block the shot, but Benny Niva slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 56th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Astudillo got free with Baron Buffon in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Celta de Virgos booed when Los Muñes de Don Cuco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Truylos Barbari didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baron Buffon was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and David Astudillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. David Astudillo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. The Los Muñes de Don Cuco supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Celta de Virgos's performance. The match ended with a win for Celta de Virgos.
