The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ booed when Barrabases de Victoria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rock Power didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 7 minutes, Kong Jian Ling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barrabases de Victoria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kong Jian Ling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miroslav Klose might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Alberto Allende. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miroslav Klose ran back to his position shaking his head. 11 minutes into the match, Barrabases de Victoria's goal looked a bit too open when Miroslav Klose came free, but Juan Alberto Allende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicasio Abad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kong Jian Ling in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Klose in the 21st minute of play forced Barrabases de Victoria's goalkeeper Juan Alberto Allende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicasio Abad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kong Jian Ling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samuel Nava made in the 29th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Miroslav Klose. Alberto Sandoval kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Juan Alberto Allende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miroslav Klose in the 34th minute of play. Kemalettin Keskiner made in the 35th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Miroslav Klose immediately put the ball in play. After 37 played minutes Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Nava. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kong Jian Ling to make the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Miroslav Klose who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barrabases de Victoria's Juan Alberto Allende was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 54th minute Miroslav Klose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Alberto Allende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Barrabases de Victoria defense, Miroslav Klose kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Alberto Allende. The Barrabases de Victoria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Alberto Allende should have stopped the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Rock Power in the 61st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Hulki İmdat. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Klose in the 69th minute of play forced Barrabases de Victoria's goalkeeper Juan Alberto Allende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Barrabases de Victoria's Rock Power got a free kick in the 78th minute. The supporters of Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ booed when Barrabases de Victoria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rock Power didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kong Jian Ling took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicasio Abad. Juan Alberto Allende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Mannie, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. A collision led to Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Zbyszko Ludwa hit a great ball. In the 94th minute of the match Adelino Caso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicasio Abad showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 96th minute, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Fernandinho Rivera dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. When the final whistle sounded Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Barrabases de Victoria.
