Blumenau Esporte Clube's Ime Mavros quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danil Shashkov in the 12th minute of play forced Família Ressaca MZ's goalkeeper João Paulo Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edson Sanches made in the 24th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Han Xi Guang. In the 28th minute Danil Shashkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Blumenau Esporte Clube:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Família Ressaca MZ:s goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Han Xi Guang in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Narciso Macedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the match, Blumenau Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Han Xi Guang came free, but Narciso Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Blumenau Esporte Clube's Danil Shashkov in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Família Ressaca MZ's goalie prevented a goal. João Paulo Silva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danil Shashkov's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danil Shashkov in the 47th minute of play forced Família Ressaca MZ's goalkeeper João Paulo Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Arnaldo Seber hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Caco Moreno made in the 58th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Han Xi Guang immediately put the ball in play. In the 60thth minute of the game Danil Shashkov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Família Ressaca MZ's João Paulo Silva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 60 played minutes Família Ressaca MZ got a freekick which was hit by Edson Sanches. Família Ressaca MZ's Wojciech Rutecki quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Arnaldo Seber, made in the 62nd minute of the game. Régis Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulo Silva having to interfere. Narciso Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Han Xi Guang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Família Ressaca MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Jürgen Klinsmann came free, but João Paulo Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Blumenau Esporte Clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Régis Souto in the 72nd minute. The corner led Blumenau Esporte Clube's Lucas-Ignacio Lugano to fire away a dangerous shot which João Paulo Silva despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 77th minute, Han Xi Guang left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Família Ressaca MZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Blumenau Esporte Clube made a substitution. Nildo Dantas replaced Luís Fernando Rossi. João Paulo Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tami Abraham in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Jürgen Klinsmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Paulo Silva. Família Ressaca MZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jürgen Klinsmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. João Paulo Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jürgen Klinsmann in the 87th minute of the match. Jürgen Klinsmann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Paulo Silva having to make a save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Blumenau Esporte Clube fully deserved thier win.
