Caballeritos del Baile's Sebastian Urko got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Placido Bermudo hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Leonel Caponi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético Escocia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonel Caponi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Modestio in the 16th minute of play forced Caballeritos del Baile's goalkeeper Damián Martínez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The supporters of Caballeritos del Baile booed when Club Atlético Escocia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Fiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Club Atlético Escocia getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Fergus León hit a great ball. Pablo Gonzo struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Jeronimo Mon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caballeritos del Baile. Jeronimo Mon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Urko in the 66th minute of the match.
