An unexpectedly hard shot by Cevallos Provencio in the 15th minute of play forced GEOMATİC FK's goalkeeper Silviu Filip to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was a well-played corner which Elmar Roorda managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Walter Huarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elmar Roorda, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ingvar Vallin in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walter Huarte saved Astillero del Guayas from getting behind. In the 21st minute, Oğuz Kakisim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Walter Huarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oğuz Kakisim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Chu Wen Le almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Astillero del Guayas's Walter Huarte did a great save. Ruperto Ufret kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Oğuz Kakisim notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Astillero del Guayas's Walter Huarte. Walter Huarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Birger Rochat kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Silviu Filip acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dani Galiana. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paredes Campderros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ingvar Vallin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walter Huarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. In the 81st minute, GEOMATİC FK's Ege Kakisim ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Walter Huarte. Walter Huarte yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. The supporters of GEOMATİC FK booed when Astillero del Guayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ibarra Iribe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Çağlar Demirer took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walter Huarte. Walter Huarte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The GEOMATİC FK fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when GEOMATİC FK's Ege Kakisim looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched GEOMATİC FK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
