Göksel Taşdan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigo Lima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Göksel Taşdan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodrigo Lima was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bogdan Mailat in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Pascoal Espírito Santo hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Rodrigo Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Göksel Taşdan's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Martin Johansson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodrigo Lima having to make a save. Machados FC V2's Hildeberto Cortez was substituted for Paul Albeanu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Mailat in the 60th minute of play forced 1930 Bafraspor's goalkeeper Çakır Alyakut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bogdan Mailat got free with Çakır Alyakut in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Machados FC V2 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Machados FC V2 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
