The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Utopía Muerta FC booed when Pendex was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Eleazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruperto Nayely took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Bermudo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the game, Natalio Elixio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Utopía Muerta FC's Fermin Martinez quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, Pendex's Ambrosio Silbestre got a free kick in the 36th minute. Ruperto Nayely made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Bermudo in the 44th minute of play. After 45 minutes Pendex's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anier Johans who took care of the corner kick. Gogo Crescencio kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Šácha to make the kick off. Igor Stephen made in the 53rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and David Šácha immediately put the ball in play. David Šácha struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Mano Hume didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pendex. After a rather tough play, Pendex's Nelson de Brito got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute David Šácha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mano Hume saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mano Hume showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Šácha in the 65th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Ramón Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Utopía Muerta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramón Furtado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruperto Nayely breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pendex's Rafael Nisio was substituted for David Šácha. Pendex made a substitution. Vicente Sugoi replaced Gogo Crescencio. Utopía Muerta FC's Armando Amarita was substituted for Prudencio Ubelteso. Ruperto Nayely showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramón Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Anier Johans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Ruperto Nayely made a huge save. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
