After a rather tough play, El Canalla de Chicago's Emmanuel Akers got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Nelson Mandrak was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 4th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 6 minutes into the match, El Canalla de Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Proença came free, but Kermit Henry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trenton Baird kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 14th match minute, El Canalla de Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Spivey to maneuver through the defense. Kermit Henry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Mandrak in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to El Canalla de Chicago getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. James Uribe hit a great ball. Nelson Mandrak took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kermit Henry. El Canalla de Chicago's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 18th minute, Trenton Baird hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. El Canalla de Chicago's Kevin Roark quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Geovani Favoretto, made in the 26th minute of the game. In the 27th minute, Kevin Roark reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rogério Cean. The goal made the score 1-0. Kermit Henry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as El Canalla de Chicago's Martin Tuttle slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rogério Cean. That made the score 2-0 after 42 minutes of play. After 45 played minutes El Canalla de Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Tanner Waller. After 46 played minutes, Sport Club Mavericks's Nelson Mandrak shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kermit Henry came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sport Club Mavericks reached it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Sport Club Mavericks's Ian Marinho was substituted for Fred Vides. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martin Tuttle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, El Canalla de Chicago's Kermit Henry got control of the ball when Eugênio Leme tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sport Club Mavericks's Rogério Cean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Tuttle in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Vitório Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kermit Henry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugênio Leme in the 59th minute of play. James Uribe kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes Sport Club Mavericks got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal de Sena. Emmanuel Akers kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Rogério Cean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Tuttle, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's goal looked a bit too open when James Uribe came free, but Rogério Cean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Eugênio Leme came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Sport Club Mavericks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugênio Leme couldn't finish the play. El Canalla de Chicago's Dustin Thome was substituted for A.J. Fernandez. El Canalla de Chicago made a substitution. Monty Stout replaced Martin Tuttle. Kermit Henry made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Saraiva in the 80th minute. In the 84th match minute, El Canalla de Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Akers to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelson Mandrak got free with Kermit Henry in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute, Dustin Thome hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcus Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marcus Proença came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Sport Club Mavericks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Proença couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Monty Stout ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rogério Cean was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. El Canalla de Chicago had won after a very even match.
