Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tio Lio started the match with the kick off. Jan Figlewski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tio Lio in the 2nd minute. With a little luck, Abutres 2003 FDP's Jan Figlewski got control of the ball when Tio Lio tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 4th minute Raphael Paraense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Figlewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Pacheco in the 7th minute of the match. With his leg Jan Figlewski managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when New England Minas's Tio Lio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jeremy Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodri Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tio Lio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jan Figlewski came out and tried to block the shot, but Tio Lio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 20th minute. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by New England Minas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chiquinho Pombal was slow to take the kick. During this time Abutres 2003 FDP's players had a chance to rest. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Yahya Burçak in the 29th minute of play. In the 29th minute Ahmet Yahya Burçak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Nordmark. Chiquinho Pombal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jeremy Nicholas. New England Minas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alperen Öksüz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Jan Figlewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Abutres 2003 FDP getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Dênis Ferreira hit a great ball. When Alperen Öksüz came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the New England Minas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alperen Öksüz couldn't finish the play. Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Yahya Burçak, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Rodri Gol kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ahmet Yahya Burçak to strike the kick off in the second half. Jan Figlewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Pacheco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, New England Minas's Alperen Öksüz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Figlewski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. New England Minas made a substitution. Emmitt Benson replaced Alperen Öksüz. Abutres 2003 FDP's Elói Marques was substituted for Chiquinho Pombal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elói Marques in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremy Nicholas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jeremy Nicholas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elói Marques's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Jan Figlewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Figlewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Pacheco in the 88th minute of the match. If Edgardo Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 91st match minute, Abutres 2003 FDP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio-César Romo-Leroux to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the match, New England Minas's Jörgen Frohm sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Figlewski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Emmitt Benson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Figlewski. Abutres 2003 FDP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emmitt Benson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. New England Minas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
