Michel Hendrickx made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Guido Vissenaeken sent off a good shot on target. 9 minutes into the game, Guido Vissenaeken recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Michel Hendrickx. Guido Vissenaeken showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goal looked a bit too open when Isaias Matas came free, but Vítor Baia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Herbert Pietrowicz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Olavarria FC's Arthur Eekhout quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Vítor Baia came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Olavarria FC's Isaias Matas. But to his dismay, Isaias Matas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Vítor Baia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Kotlar in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Isaias Matas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Olavarria FC's Isaias Matas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vítor Baia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Isaias Matas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Olavarria FC booed when Brugge United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurențiu Roşculeţ didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guido Vissenaeken to strike the kick off in the second half. Vítor Baia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Matas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Olavarria FC's Isaias Matas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vítor Baia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arthur Eekhout hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Olavarria FC's Arthur Eekhout got a free kick in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Matas in the 63rd minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michel Hendrickx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Roşculeţ, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Michel Hendrickx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Vissenaeken in the 68th minute of the match. Jenő Menszátor kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Jenő Menszátor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, Arnauld Tombuer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vítor Baia. Brugge United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnauld Tombuer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Olavarria FC's attentive Timy Wolfdoncx managed to snatch the ball when Herbert Pietrowicz made a throw-in in the 78th minute of the game. Brugge United's Vítor Baia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Kotlar in the 84th minute of play. Michel Hendrickx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Vissenaeken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michel Hendrickx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Vissenaeken, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnauld Tombuer in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vítor Baia saved Brugge United from getting behind. After 91 minutes Brugge United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mauro Kotlar who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Olavarria FC's Mauro Kotlar to fire away a dangerous shot which Vítor Baia despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match was over Olavarria FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Brugge United throughout the match.
