Pontus Nordström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexis Alexandris in the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Santa Margarita's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Giardino came free, but Pontus Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pontus Nordström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurence Snow, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. tHe SOnS of rAGnar's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. José Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Witomir Pisarczyk in the 24th minute of play. Telis Ntasios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pontus Nordström having to interfere. Alexis Alexandris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Pontus Nordström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Alexis Alexandris ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pontus Nordström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Pontus Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telis Ntasios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Witomir Pisarczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santa Margarita's attentive Wendell Davids managed to snatch the ball when Grigoris Kornaros made a throw-in in the 44th minute of the game. Witomir Pisarczyk hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. If Witomir Pisarczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Witomir Pisarczyk to make the kick off. In the 57th match minute, Santa Margarita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Furtado to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walter Giardino got free with Pontus Nordström in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pontus Nordström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telis Ntasios in the 64th minute of play. After some careless play in the Santa Margarita defense, Walter Giardino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pontus Nordström. The Santa Margarita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pontus Nordström should have stopped the shot. Pontus Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Giardino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Walter Giardino notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Santa Margarita's Pontus Nordström. Pontus Nordström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. tHe SOnS of rAGnar had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
