The audience was convinced that Mugur Chiriac's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but André Courtois was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Mugur Chiriac might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over André Courtois. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mugur Chiriac ran back to his position shaking his head. 47 minutes into the game, Yavuz Selim Hekimhanlı was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Templars FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ares FC -MM- the free kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

With a little luck, Templars FC's André Courtois got control of the ball when Mugur Chiriac tried to sneak it across the goal line.
