Allan Bergstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 5th minute, Oscar Vestberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zheng Zhen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosmin Gâțea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Allan Bergstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. The supporters of Glemmingebro IF booed when FC Izesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Drăgoescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Bergstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Bogdan Stelea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bogdan Stelea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Bergstedt in the 16th minute of the match. Romeo Mutu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iurie Croitoru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Zheng Zhen made a huge save. 25 minutes into the game, FC Izesti's Cosmin Gâțea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zheng Zhen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iurie Croitoru in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zheng Zhen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute FC Izesti were awarded a corner. Luca Lăzan went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to FC Izesti's Gigel Lozovan getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Glemmingebro IF's Zheng Zhen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Glemmingebro IF from getting a goal against them. Glemmingebro IF were furious when Victor Nordström was red carded, 37 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Glemmingebro IF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Bogdan Stelea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalle Stål in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iurie Croitoru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zheng Zhen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Drăgoescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bogdan Stelea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alf Möller in the 59th minute. 80 minutes into the game, Cosmin Gâțea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Zheng Zhen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Möller in the 83rd minute of play forced FC Izesti's goalkeeper Bogdan Stelea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luca Lăzan charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luca Lăzan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 90 played minutes FC Izesti got a freekick which was hit by Gigel Lozovan. Romeo Mutu hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes, Glemmingebro IF's Peter Sjöström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bogdan Stelea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Glemmingebro IF reached it.

The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Izesti had won after a very even match.
