Hızır Naşit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Joanes, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute, Adriano van Beek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hızır Naşit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Joanes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Arkadiusz Debkowski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hızır Naşit quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Adriano van Beek scored 1-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Selatse, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th minute Amador Joanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hızır Naşit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amador Joanes to strike the kick off in the second half. Anderson Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Czeslaw Kopacz struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Hızır Naşit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Despidida AFC. Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Bokelund in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Despidida AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavino Hodei to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Despidida AFC defense, Régis Madureira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Selatse. The Despidida AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Selatse should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Toro Martínez took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Hızır Naşit to make any attempt to save it.

Despidida AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
