Damian Mouricio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 17 minutes into the match, Villa Verde FC's Saul Goodman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Napoleon Dziedelonis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Villa Verde FC were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Zuberbühler FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Durval Leão took the corner. Napoleon Dziedelonis made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Saul Goodman sent off a good shot on target. Damian Mouricio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Berart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saul Goodman in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Napoleon Dziedelonis saved Zuberbühler FC from getting behind. If Saul Goodman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 32 minutes into the match, Zuberbühler FC's goalkeeper Napoleon Dziedelonis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Saul Goodman. Villa Verde FC's Damian Mouricio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Baumer in the 34th minute of play. Damian Mouricio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Georges-Philippe Puttemas in the 35th minute of the match. Saul Goodman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Napoleon Dziedelonis made a huge save. The supporters of Zuberbühler FC booed when Villa Verde FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durval Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Baumer in the 47th minute of play forced Villa Verde FC's goalkeeper Damian Mouricio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Mouricio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Georges-Philippe Puttemas, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Saul Goodman to strike the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Zuberbühler FC's Damian Mouricio threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Saul Baumer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Villa Verde FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Grigore Coroian hit a great ball. The nice shot from Saul Baumer in the 58thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Damian Mouricio had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Zuberbühler FC's Florentino Lastur was substituted for Marciano Min. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Villa Verde FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Venancio Calisto was slow to take the kick. During this time Zuberbühler FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 62nd minute Saul Goodman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Napoleon Dziedelonis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zuberbühler FC's Georges-Philippe Puttemas got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damian Mouricio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Lastur, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Damian Mouricio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Saul Baumer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 72 minute of play. Zuberbühler FC's Jonathan Iruinea was substituted for Georges-Philippe Puttemas. Villa Verde FC's Belmiro Borges was substituted for Dida Viana. Damian Mouricio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonathan Iruinea in the 91st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Iruinea got free with Damian Mouricio in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Villa Verde FC's Damian Mouricio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentino Lastur in the 95th minute of play. Pelayo Mendez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Zuberbühler FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
