Eduard Semeghin scored 1-6 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Constantin Ţăranu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduard Semeghin got free with Constantin Ţăranu in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 65 minutes into the game, Bogdan Udrişte cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-11. Constantin Ţăranu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 69th minute, Panait Aldescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Constantin Ţăranu was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Eduard Semeghin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eduard Semeghin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-12. Constantin Ţăranu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eduard Semeghin in the 74th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Bogdan Udrişte slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Constantin Ţăranu. That made the score 1-13 after 75 minutes of play. Constantin Ţăranu came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Dragoş Cazacu. But to his dismay, Dragoş Cazacu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-16. 88 minutes into the match, Gelu Lelescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Constantin Ţăranu. C.I.L. SIGHET -MM-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gelu Lelescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-17.
