The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to TibaDons getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Stu Sargent hit a great ball. Sol Bowden charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sol Bowden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 4 played minutes TibaDons got a freekick which was hit by Sol Bowden. 9 minutes into the match, Stu Sargent notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Club Atlético Atlanta's Melquiades Salvatore. Melquiades Salvatore was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 12 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Sol Bowden came free, but Melquiades Salvatore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Grant Swift came free, but Melquiades Salvatore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when TibaDons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sol Bowden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melquiades Salvatore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Melquiades Salvatore didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Grant Swift went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Grant Swift came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Melquiades Salvatore could save by the left post. The audience was convinced that Sol Bowden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melquiades Salvatore was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. The supporters of TibaDons booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Guter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jordan Longstaffe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Nalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Grant Swift notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Club Atlético Atlanta's Melquiades Salvatore. Melquiades Salvatore was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 94th minute, Reuben Stone left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TibaDons fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. Grant Swift did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-8 to the left of a surprised Melquiades Salvatore 99 minutes into the match. The TibaDons supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing TibaDons would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
