Dênis Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markku Ruhanen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Markku Ruhanen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liverpool FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Markku Ruhanen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dênis Teixeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Liverpool FC's Ahvo Lähteenmäki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrinho Damião in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmi Oksa in the 18th minute of play forced BRASIL.Sp's goalkeeper Dênis Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauri Tervo got free with Dênis Teixeira in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedrinho Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Markku Ruhanen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dênis Teixeira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 44th minute Pedrinho Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahvo Lähteenmäki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilmo Möksy's late challenge caught a BRASIL.Sp's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ilmo Möksy helped the player get up and apologised. After 47 played minutes Liverpool FC got a freekick which was hit by Ilmo Möksy. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

61 minutes into the game, Lino Fernandez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ahvo Lähteenmäki. Lino Fernandez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Ahvo Lähteenmäki was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Paulinho Tepedino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paulinho Tepedino really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Paulinho Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Ahvo Lähteenmäki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeu Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Mauri Tervo got a free kick in the 77th minute. Ahvo Lähteenmäki was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Romeu Mendes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 78 minute of play. In the 81st minute, Pentti Multaharju hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeu Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahvo Lähteenmäki having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Pedrinho de Godoi took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Ahvo Lähteenmäki to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Liverpool FC's Ahvo Lähteenmäki got control of the ball when Pedrinho de Godoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ahvo Lähteenmäki made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Pedrinho de Godoi sent off a good shot on target. After 88 played minutes Liverpool FC got a freekick which was hit by Sami Ilola. Pedrinho de Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Liverpool FC's Ahvo Lähteenmäki got control of the ball when Pedrinho de Godoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Fernandez in the 94th minute of play forced Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Ahvo Lähteenmäki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, Anselmi Oksa made a precise shot to the right of Dênis Teixeira. BRASIL.Sp's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. The Liverpool FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing BRASIL.Sp to win.
