After 12 played minutes Garfield Dream Team got a freekick which was hit by Tartalo Ureta. 13 minutes into the match, Raulo Seda notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Garfield Dream Team's Junior Espinoza. Junior Espinoza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 15th minute, Garfield Dream Team's Faron Aleso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ximenes Barnechea. Ximenes Barnechea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Garfield Dream Team's Junior Espinoza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dolcet Bevia in the 18th minute of play. Junior Espinoza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dolcet Bevia, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

Alianza Trujillo made a substitution. Froilan Barros replaced Vellito Berges. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernabe Sigler in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ximenes Barnechea saved Alianza Trujillo from getting behind. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Alianza Trujillo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ildephonso Arbaiza was slow to take the kick. During this time Garfield Dream Team's players had a chance to rest. Bernabe Sigler scored 5-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ximenes Barnechea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ximenes Barnechea was left in no man's land by his defense there! 70 minutes into the match, Faron Aleso notched a goal, 7-1, to the right of Alianza Trujillo's Ximenes Barnechea. Ximenes Barnechea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ximenes Barnechea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arias Teja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ximenes Barnechea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arias Teja in the 91st minute of play. After 91 minutes, Arias Teja made it 8-2 with a short kick to the right side. Alianza Trujillo's Ximenes Barnechea tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Faron Aleso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute Faron Aleso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ximenes Barnechea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garfield Dream Team walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
