The Valar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Milan da Freguesia F.C. the free kick. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Inácio de Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ştefan Moculescu in the 10th minute of play. Gheorghe Simion struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Inácio de Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Valar. 15 minutes into the match, The Valar's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio de Carvalho came free, but Mihnea Negrițoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Carlos Alberto de Lara fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s protests and gave Carlos Alberto de Lara a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes Milan da Freguesia F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto de Lara. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s attentive Gabriel Leme managed to snatch the ball when Emanuel Şelaru made a throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game. After 25 played minutes Milan da Freguesia F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Breno Ceresso. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Virgil Meleșcanu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gheorghe Simion who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Inácio de Lima when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Valar's Ştefan Moculescu got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gheorghe Simion in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Inácio de Lima saved Milan da Freguesia F.C. from getting behind. 36 minutes into the match, Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gheorghe Simion came free, but Inácio de Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gheorghe Simion received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Inácio de Lima came out and tried to block the shot, but Gheorghe Simion slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 38th minute. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gheorghe Simion 44 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. When Claudiu Iorgovan fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Valar's protests and gave Claudiu Iorgovan a yellow card for diving instead. Claudiu Iorgovan hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gheorghe Simion stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Ştefan Moculescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Inácio de Lima was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The throw-in from Rareș Ţeica in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Gabriel Leme. The referee felt a red card was in order, 65 minutes into the game, when Ion Otopeanu put in a rough tackle. 64 minutes into the game, one of The Valar:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Milan da Freguesia F.C. a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Angelo Nunes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of The Valar's Mihnea Negrițoiu. 3-1. The Valar's Mihnea Negrițoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Márcio de Carvalho in the 72nd minute of play. Mihnea Negrițoiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Márcio de Carvalho's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. When Vladimir Gonçalves fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s protests and gave Vladimir Gonçalves a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Milan da Freguesia F.C. getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Vladimir Gonçalves hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Emanuel Şelaru in the 84th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Gabriel Leme. In the 92nd minute Robert Coșeriu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, The Valar's Ştefan Moculescu tried to score from far away in the 97th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The The Valar fans cheered their team off the field, for while Milan da Freguesia F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
