Spase Kastrati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iona Lightfoot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diljan Dzaferi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Macedonia's Spase Kastrati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Sikola in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vidoe Gegovski got free with Iona Lightfoot in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iona Lightfoot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vidoe Gegovski in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to KARAORMAN getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Sasoin Asenjo hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, KARAORMAN's Pierre Blair sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Spase Kastrati narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diljan Dzaferi in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iona Lightfoot saved KARAORMAN from getting behind. 27 minutes into the game, Deljan Nastevski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Iona Lightfoot. Deljan Nastevski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Pierre Blair sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Spase Kastrati showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre Blair, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Diljan Dzaferi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Iona Lightfoot when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Spase Kastrati made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Sikola in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diljan Dzaferi to make the kick off. Deljan Nastevski kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. In the 54th minute Deljan Nastevski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iona Lightfoot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th match minute, Macedonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trpe Salihu to maneuver through the defense. Iljo Trajanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the KARAORMAN defense, Deljan Nastevski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iona Lightfoot. The KARAORMAN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iona Lightfoot should have stopped the shot. Iona Lightfoot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deljan Nastevski in the 67th minute of the match. Iona Lightfoot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deljan Nastevski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71stth minute of the game Deljan Nastevski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KARAORMAN's Iona Lightfoot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Spase Kastrati showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Sikola, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Macedonia's Vuk Urgovski was substituted for Ramadan Hristov. Macedonia's Emilijano Kitanovski was substituted for Baškim Sumulikovski. The corner ended in Iljo Trajanov almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Macedonia's Spase Kastrati did a great save. KARAORMAN's Iona Lightfoot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diljan Dzaferi in the 77th minute of play. KARAORMAN's Sasoin Asenjo got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, KARAORMAN's goal looked a bit too open when Deljan Nastevski came free, but Iona Lightfoot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iona Lightfoot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deljan Nastevski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by KARAORMAN's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vidoe Gegovski was slow to take the kick. During this time Macedonia's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Macedonia's corner Vidoe Gegovski fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Iona Lightfoot quite easily take care of the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Macedonia's goalkeeper Spase Kastrati had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pierre Blair. Damian Sikola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Spase Kastrati made a huge save. 88 minutes into the game, Macedonia's Deljan Nastevski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iona Lightfoot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After having played for 90 minutes, Vuk Urgovski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macedonia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vuk Urgovski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, KARAORMAN's Sasoin Asenjo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sasoin Asenjo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of KARAORMAN protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sasoin Asenjo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in KARAORMAN fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! Iona Lightfoot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vuk Urgovski, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. KARAORMAN's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
