Jane Austen Pride's John Gravell managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cleto Uzuri in the 5 minute of the game. In the 7th minute, Richard Hobbs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute of the match Gogo Cristofol sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but John Martin skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pasquale Riccio in the 11th minute of play forced STARK F.C.'s goalkeeper Gigih Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bachittar Singh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Gravell kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, STARK F.C.'s Jesus Tadzio got a free kick in the 19th minute. Jane Austen Pride's Veli Hussein quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Zeledon Abajas, made in the 22nd minute of the game. Alvaro Eusko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but John Martin made a huge save. STARK F.C. were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Jane Austen Pride's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gogo Cristofol took the corner. Gigih Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bachittar Singh, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Gigih Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garry Power in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute Bachittar Singh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigih Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. STARK F.C.'s Gigih Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bachittar Singh in the 39th minute of play. Richard Hobbs's late challenge caught a STARK F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richard Hobbs helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Jane Austen Pride's Richard Hobbs got a free kick in the 39th minute. Penalty! 1-1 came in the 43rd minute when Alvaro Eusko all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of John Martin. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Leonard Wood replaced Darryl Anderson. Jane Austen Pride's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Jane Austen Pride played a much better game than STARK F.C. and deserved their victory. The STARK F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
