Nestor Vigil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Bela in the 5th minute of play. After 8 minutes of play, Fecha Libre's Marcial Cefero made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aquilino Osmundo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute, Rosendo Bela made a precise shot to the right of Nestor Vigil. Fecha Libre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Aquilino Osmundo made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Vladimiro Gizon sent off a good shot on target. Fecha Libre's Marcial Cefero got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cipriano Patxi during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Gladiators booed when Fecha Libre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Patxi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aquilino Osmundo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcial Cefero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aquilino Osmundo was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Victoriano Ekialde capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Victoriano Ekialde really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 42nd minute, Dionisio Rico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fecha Libre's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 44th minute of the game, when Vladimiro Gizon after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Gladiators's goal. Vladimiro Gizon was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcial Cefero to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Marcial Cefero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fecha Libre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Victoriano Ekialde scored 4-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aquilino Osmundo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guido Arias during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Gladiators getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Guido Arias hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Marcial Cefero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aquilino Osmundo. Gladiators's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcial Cefero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. After some careless play in the Gladiators defense, Marcial Cefero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aquilino Osmundo. The Gladiators fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aquilino Osmundo should have stopped the shot.
