Claudio Piarres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcial Cefero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ermegildo Arlo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcial Cefero to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristian Kemen hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 52nd minute, Vladimiro Gizon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Marcial Cefero sped through De Boedo Vengo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Claudio Piarres. In the 57th match minute, Fecha Libre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelino Hats to maneuver through the defense. Claudio Piarres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Cefero, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 79th minute Marcial Cefero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Piarres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudio Piarres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Cefero, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 87th minute, Gogo Chesus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute Paulo Lluciano managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. De Boedo Vengo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
