When Garry Power came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Jane Austen Pride fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garry Power couldn't finish the play. Fernando Belo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bachittar Singh, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute of the match Jane Austen Pride got a corner. Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Garry Power ran over to the corner to take the kick. John Gravell made a great header on Jane Austen Pride's corner, it was just that Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's Fernando Belo managed to reach the ball for a save. Horacio Quinteros's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, John Martin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. John Martin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Quinteros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rdth minute of the game Bachittar Singh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's Fernando Belo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Bachittar Singh put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fernando Belo. In the 36th minute of the match Veli Hussein sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernando Belo skillfully saved the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's goal looked a bit too open when Bachittar Singh came free, but Fernando Belo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bachittar Singh in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Belo saved Cantera Leales Sin Pagar from getting behind. Jane Austen Pride's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Garry Power in the 38th minute. Jane Austen Pride's Pasquale Riccio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fernando Belo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Fernando Belo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Veli Hussein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Romulo Torres made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Torres in the 53rd minute of play forced Jane Austen Pride's goalkeeper John Martin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bachittar Singh in the 56th minute of play forced Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's goalkeeper Fernando Belo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orlando Inautzi kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th of the match, Darryl Anderson tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Fernando Belo got in the way and made a wonderful save. Pasquale Riccio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Belo having to make a save. Fernando Belo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bachittar Singh in the 74th minute. Bachittar Singh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Fernando Belo made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's Leopoldo Fagondo got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Jane Austen Pride made a substitution. Espen Lima replaced Garry Power. Jane Austen Pride's Peter Bamforth was substituted for Bachittar Singh. After having played for 85 minutes, Veli Hussein managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jane Austen Pride's supporters crossed their fingers, but Veli Hussein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A throw-in in the 87th minute of the game was made by Nicholas Mendes with Pasquale Riccio as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 94th minute, Jane Austen Pride's Peter Bamforth ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fernando Belo. Fernando Belo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Jane Austen Pride's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
