Nightingale Saviors's Bhavin Pandya nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Östen Ahlbom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of F. Nightingale Saviors booed when Södermalm FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc-André Reumann didn't get a good kick on the ball. A throw-in in the 24th minute of the game was made by Piers Rosser with Ralph Thompson as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When David Melling came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the F. Nightingale Saviors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Melling couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Melling in the 27th minute of play forced Södermalm FK's goalkeeper Östen Ahlbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Houston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Östen Ahlbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Wooster made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Kåre Bocklund sent off a good shot on target. Ralph Thompson kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. F. Nightingale Saviors's Ralph Thompson pulled a muscle in his leg after 44 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 44 minutes, Marko Nordström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Södermalm FK and the F. Nightingale Saviors players grew even worse after the yellow card. F. Nightingale Saviors made a substitution. Malcolm McLeod replaced Ralph Thompson. After 46 played minutes Södermalm FK got a freekick which was hit by Marko Nordström. Bhavin Pandya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Östen Ahlbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bhavin Pandya to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Södermalm FK's goalkeeper Östen Ahlbom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Houston. David Wooster showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kåre Bocklund in the 60th minute of the match. David Melling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Houston in the 68th minute of play forced Södermalm FK's goalkeeper Östen Ahlbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bhavin Pandya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Östen Ahlbom made a huge save. With his leg Östen Ahlbom managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when F. Nightingale Saviors's David Melling fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Södermalm FK's Lukas Kvarnström in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F. Nightingale Saviors's goalie prevented a goal. Östen Ahlbom made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when David Melling sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, David Melling took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Östen Ahlbom to make any attempt to save it. Södermalm FK made a substitution. Lars Nässén replaced Kåre Bocklund. The crowd rose to their feet as Bhavin Pandya kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Östen Ahlbom. That made the score 0-3 in the 89 minute of play.
