The referee ignored Hedy Lamarr Hoppers's protests and gave Robert Smith a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Hedy Lamarr Hoppers getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Robert Smith hit a great ball. The long shot by Aurél Lázár in the 7th minute really tested Rajiv Pathak's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. David Cook sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rajiv Pathak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrik Herczegh in the 11th minute of the match. György Görbe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Cook in the 14th minute of the match. The supporters of Héreg SC booed when Hedy Lamarr Hoppers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Little didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th match minute, Héreg SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibor Molnár to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute David Cook shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but György Görbe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Hedy Lamarr Hoppers's goalkeeper Rajiv Pathak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrik Herczegh. In the 27th minute Nicholas Dalton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but György Görbe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Cook might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over György Görbe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Cook ran back to his position shaking his head. When David Cook came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Hedy Lamarr Hoppers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Cook couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute, David Cook ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. György Görbe was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Árpád Dudás kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. If Ian Bamber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 53rd minute David Cook shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but György Görbe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rajiv Pathak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrik Herczegh, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Christopher Watkins kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 57 minutes, Henrik Herczegh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Héreg SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrik Herczegh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute, Nicholas Dalton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zoltán Kaiser made in the 61st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Hedy Lamarr Hoppers's Martin Little. In the 67th minute of the match Christopher Watkins sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but György Görbe skillfully saved the ball. Rajiv Pathak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrik Herczegh in the 77th minute of the match. Aurél Lázár made in the 82nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Hedy Lamarr Hoppers's Ian Bamber. György Görbe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicholas Dalton in the 84th minute of the match. After 84 played minutes Héreg SC got a freekick which was hit by Dávid Tisza. Héreg SC's Zoltán Kaiser managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Robert Smith in the 89 minute of the game. In the 92nd minute, Árpád Dudás got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Héreg SC's goal looked a bit too open when David Cook came free, but György Görbe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Héreg SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. David Cook was slow to take the kick. During this time Hedy Lamarr Hoppers's players had a chance to rest. György Görbe didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 98th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. The Hedy Lamarr Hoppers players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
