Luis Galarza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Rolado in the 9th minute of the match. Bolivia's Luis Galarza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Arotza in the 10th minute of play. In the 17thth minute of the game Juan Funes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Argentina's Lev Yashin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Fausto Santana in the 20th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Bolivia's Ysmael Abad. The audience was convinced that Amado Arotza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luis Galarza was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Lev Yashin made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Juan Funes sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute Amado Arotza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Galarza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Galarza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Arotza, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Alexandre Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luis Galarza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Arotza, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 42nd minute, Tito Montaño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luis Galarza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Gipuzkoa in the 44th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Argentina's Leonel Bastiaro got a free kick in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Amado Arotza made the kick off in the second half. Luis Galarza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Felipillo in the 53rd minute of play. Bolivia's Luis Galarza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Arotza in the 54th minute of play. Modesto Gipuzkoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Galarza having to interfere. A collision led to Argentina getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ceferino Nalo hit a great ball. Juan Funes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lev Yashin having to make a save. Lev Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Funes in the 60th minute of the match. Amado Arotza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 0-2 became the score in the 65th minute when Severo Rolado elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 70 minutes of play, Argentina's Severo Rolado made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luis Galarza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Severo Rolado might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luis Galarza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severo Rolado ran back to his position shaking his head. Bolivia's Zigor Abeita was substituted for Ysmael Abad. Cipriano Abechuco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Lev Yashin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severo Rolado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Luis Galarza when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luis Galarza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severo Rolado in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute, Argentina's Severo Rolado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. When the final whistle sounded Argentina left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bolivia.
