After having played for 16 minutes, Veli Hussein managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jane Austen Pride's supporters crossed their fingers, but Veli Hussein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Preben Kaagaard in the 20th minute of play forced Jane Austen Pride's goalkeeper John Martin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jane Austen Pride were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
