But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tariq Ahmad couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tariq Ahmad in the 35th minute of play forced 香草的家's goalkeeper 俞冰帆 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robert McCulloch to make the kick off. 俞冰帆 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert McCulloch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Clarke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 俞冰帆 having to interfere. Douglas Ellis took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 俞冰帆. 俞冰帆 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 92 minutes into the match, Robert Barrows had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of 俞冰帆. 香草的家's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robert Barrows was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. In the 96th minute Daniel Clarke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 俞冰帆 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The 香草的家 players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
